Institutional Perspective Plan
The perspective plan for Khatra Adibasi Mahavidyalaya outlines a comprehensive framework for the holistic development of the institution. It prioritizes academic excellence, infrastructure development, community engagement, and overall student satisfaction.
Academic Development
i) Introduce Post Graduation courses in Bengali and Santali.
ii) Teaching subjects such as Philosophy, Mathematics, Geography, Physics, Music, and Physical Education in Santali vernacular since the college is located in a tribal area.
iii) Introduce more Add-on and Certificate courses in the college and ensure their effective delivery.
iv) Emphasize on enhancing enrolment in science subjects to nurture growth and interest in these rural areas.
Faculty and Staff Development
i) Take necessary steps to fill substantive vacant teaching and non-teaching posts to ensure smooth functioning of the college.
ii) Establish a research cell to encourage and support faculty in research activities under the guidance of IQAC and Research Committee.
iii) Organize regular training and workshops to keep the faculty members abreast with the latest developments in teaching methodologies.
Infrastructure and facilities
i) Establish a centre exclusively dedicated for promotion of indigenous folk culture.
ii) Set up more smart classrooms with audio-visual aids and interactive learning tools.
iii) To establish more facilities for ICT-based teaching.
iv) Expand the library’s resources by acquiring additional books, journals, and digital materials.
v) Enrich the Music department of the college by adding to the existing list of musical instruments so that students get exposure to a wide variety of musical instruments.
Skill Development and Vocational Training
i) Introduce vocational and professional courses in our college, focusing on areas such as handicraft, horticulture and food processing to enhance employment opportunities for economically weaker students.
ii) Establish partnerships with industries to enhance skills and provide job training, thereby boosting employability.
Community Outreach and Environmental Sustainability
i) Take initiative to introduce rainwater harvesting to ensure water security in the drought prone locality in which the college is situated.
ii) Provide basic training in bee-keeping and honey harvesting as there are numerous bee-hive spots at the college campus which is rich in biodiversity.
iii) Continue organizing yoga sessions and wellness programmes to encourage healthy lifestyle among the stakeholders of the college.
Student Welfare and Engagement
i) Establish an Archery Academy in the college since students in tribal areas are keen on learning archery.
ii) Strengthen the existing Women Football team of the college which participates in various inter-college tournaments.
iii) Ensure affordable tuition and admission fees for students with transparent accessible online payment gateway facilities.
iv) Strengthen the alumni association of the college and motivate alumni to actively participate in college activities and help in increasing the placement of students.
Partnership and Collaborations
i) Promote more faculty exchange, student exchange, sports exchange and cultural exchange programmes under MoU.
ii) Organize industry-academia interactive sessions, seminars and workshops to bridge the gap between industry and academics.
