Khatra Adibasi Mahavidyalaya from its inception has the tradition to work for the development of the neighbouring people through various social welfare programmes. The college has three NSS Units administered by three Programme Officers. The motto of NSS is “Not Me, But You”. The symbol of NSS stands for continuous progress through work. Each of the NSS Unit consists of 100 students. The NSS Units organize various social awareness programmes both in the college campus and neighbouring Panchayat areas like Dahala GP, Dhanara GP, Viadyanathpur GP, Supur GP, Khatra 1 and 2 GP, Gorabari GP. The Block Development Officers of Khatra and Ranibandh have acknowledged the services of our NSS Student volunteers. The NSS wings of the college ensure active involvement of the students in extension activities like blood donation camp, health awareness programmes, eye checkup, vaccination programme, cleaning and hygiene maintenance in adopted villages and slum areas, sensitization seminars, and webinars, afforestation programme, awareness rallies, campus cleaning and gardening. The NSS Units ensure smooth conduction of all government programmes and schemes like Swach Bharat Abhiyan, Yoga Day, Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, Fit India Freedom Run, Tikakaran Utsav. The Programme Officers submit annual report of round the year activities and audit report.
